Microduck + Isaac

Trained in simulation.
Alive in real life.

Policies learned in NVIDIA Isaac Sim & Isaac Lab, refined in an Omniverse digital twin — then transferred to 15 real motors.

It falls. It gets up.

Fall recovery, learned the hard way — a thousand times in simulation, once on Jensen Huang's stage.

Why Microduck moves like nothing else.

15

motors. One tiny body.

Across its legs, neck and head — enough to walk, sit, crouch, somersault, and pick things up with its articulated beak.

10″

Under 2 pounds.

A desktop-sized robot, trained in the cloud on NVIDIA systems.

Eyes that understand.

Front camera, depth sensor and dual IMUs keep Microduck balanced and aware.

Roller-skate ready.

Snap on the wheel kit and Microduck trades waddling for skating. Yes, really.

Four finishes.

“Come here.
Stay focused.”

Jensen Huang, closing the NVIDIA GTC Berlin keynote — to four robots that sat, somersaulted, napped, and got back up. Live.

Built by Pollen Robotics with Hugging Face.

Small body. A surprising number of moves.

Walk

A real bipedal gait — not wheels in disguise. Microduck waddles with balance corrections from its dual IMUs, dozens of times per second.

Sit & stand

From standing to sitting to standing again, on voice-stage command — exactly as demonstrated live at GTC Berlin.

Somersault

The crowd favourite. A full forward roll, learned after thousands of simulated attempts (and a few real-life face-plants).

Fall recovery

Tipped over during its famous on-stage “nap”, Microduck simply got back up. No hands. No reset button.

Beak pickup

Its articulated beak opens, closes and lifts light objects from the ground — a manipulator disguised as a face.

Roller-skate

Snap on the Roller-Skate Wheel Kit (sold separately) and walking policies give way to skating ones.

It never practised on your desk.
It practised in the cloud.

01

Train in the cloud

Movement policies are proposed and scored on large NVIDIA systems, long before any motor turns.

02

Build the digital twin

An Omniverse twin of Microduck — running on an RTX Spark machine — mirrors every joint, sensor and stumble.

03

Practise in Isaac

Inside NVIDIA Isaac Sim & Isaac Lab, thousands of virtual Microducks fall, roll and recover until the moves stick.

04

Transfer to reality

The finished policy drops into 15 real motors. What you saw on stage in Berlin was sim-to-real, live.

  • Fall recovery and skating improve with software updates
  • Developer Expansion Kit adds servos & sensor headers for custom policies

Loved. On stage and on desks.

★★★★★

“It fell over taking a nap. Then it just… stood up. The whole keynote hall lost it.”
GTC Berlin attendee · Berlin

★★★★★

“The first robot my team argues over at lunch. We named ours Quackers. The somersault success rate is now 8/10.”
Robotics lab lead · Munich

★★★★★

“Bought it for the Isaac Lab integration, kept it for the personality. The beak pickup demo sold my entire class.”

Questions? Answers.

Is Microduck a toy?+

No — it's a real bipedal AI research robot: 15 motors, camera, depth sensor and dual IMUs, with policies trained in NVIDIA Isaac Sim / Isaac Lab. It is, however, extremely cute.

When will my pre-order ship?+

The first $399 batch sold out. The next batch ships by Christmas in North America and Europe, in order of reservation.

Can I program it?+

Yes. Microduck is built for developers: train policies in Isaac Lab, test them in the Omniverse digital twin, and deploy. The Developer Expansion Kit adds extra servos and sensor headers.

What if it falls and breaks?+

Falling is part of its job description — fall recovery is built in. Every robot also includes a one-year warranty covering motors, sensors and servos.

Can it really roller-skate?+

With the Roller-Skate Wheel Kit, yes. Wheels snap onto its feet and a dedicated skating policy takes over.

Microduck. From $399.
